The is the new home of the Chautauqua County Historical and Genealogical Society. It is a dream come true to finally
have a building worthy of our many treasures and accomplishments. We are all organized now and invite you to come in
and look around. We are busy most days working on cataloging the large donation of the Estate of Louise McElroy, school teacher
and county historian. Thanks to her daughter Twila (McElroy) Lister for her generous donation.
Library Hours are: Tues, Weds, Thurs., 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.. We will however come down and open the library when
we are not there, a list of names and numbers can be found on the door.
At present the librarians are working on getting as many county photos scanned and preserved as we can. The library has
just recently purchased a "new" copier/printer/scanner, so if you have photos you want to donate we can do it while you look
around.
We look forward to seeing you and you will certainly be amazed at what we have!
